To thoroughly implement the requirements for high-quality development of public cultural services, smooth channels for high-quality cultural resources to reach the grassroots, and further enrich the cultural life of rural residents, the Henan Provincial Library held a reading promotion event called "Zaozhu Village Service Station" in Zaozhu Village, Weishi County, on November 26. Local cadres, residents, as well as school teachers and students participated. The event centered on three main sections: "Shared Book Handover," "Reading Promotion Services," and "Digital Cultural Empowerment," supporting rural cultural revitalization through the extension of reading resources, hosting reading activities, and technological empowerment.
At the Zaozhu Village Committee, Li Yong, Party Secretary and Director of the Henan Provincial Library, handed over 1,150 shared books to Li Xiaofeng, Director of the Zaozhu Village Work Team of the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, further enriching the reading resources of the service stations and discussing how to accurately carry out public cultural services in the future.
At Zaozhu Village Primary School, staff from the Henan Provincial Library and all teachers and students held three themed reading promotion activities. During the "Bookish Childhood" themed reading club, the librarian sisters from "Yutu Anchor Talk" led the children in reading classics together, sparking their interest in reading and sowing the seeds of reading.
During the "Book Fragrance Inheritance" cultural experience activity, staff guided children hands-on in the "Transmission and Rubbing" experience, allowing them to personally feel the charm of Chinese culture through hands-on practice and to pass on the charm and beauty of the fragrance of books.
The "Technology Empowerment · Smart Painting of Books" digital cultural service event reaching grassroots was favored by children. New technologies such as immersive VR experiences, AI robot interaction, and drone operation allow rural children to experience the charm of technological innovation up close and open the door to scientific exploration.
This event also launched the "Book-Fragrant Cloud" reading promotion, allowing villagers to enjoy convenient fingertip reading anytime and anywhere, freely exploring the sea of books.
In the future, Henan Provincial Library will continue to leverage its resource advantages, improve service efficiency, promote the precise delivery of high-quality cultural resources, bridge the "last mile" of public cultural services, and inject new momentum into rural cultural revitalization.
